Hanging Brake Caliper
My 2008 ES350 started shaking and the front driver's side tire and rim started heating up. Turns out there is a hanging caliper, which needs to be replaced. That's the cause of the friction and heat on the rotor. I should replace both front calipers, pads and rotors, then bleed the brakes.
Mileage is about 90k.
If I choose to do it myself, is this a difficult job for one guy? Thanks.

Replacing calipers needs some special tools. I had one hanging in Philadelphia years ago, drove it home to my local garage. Rotor gouged up an I remember them using some sort of special tool to release it and to install new one.

Replacing a caliper will require brake fluid replacement too and purging of air in the system. If you are not comfortable with it, I would suggest that you see a mechanic/garage. Last thing you need is air in the system...

And you need adequate skills to properly clean and lubricate the caliper slide pins so that the caliper stops hanging up on them and not releasing the pads properly.
