yesterday I heard a faint rattle coming from under the hood while the a/c was on, when I had my son turn it off, it went away. Right now it's barely noticeable, but I don't want it to turn into something major. has anyone else had this problem. I own a '08 ES with 88,000 miles and all my service is done at the dealership.

i have the same issue, concidently, i have the same year and mileage, if your is like mine, when turning the fan on, i can hear a small rattles, i strongly think that i have to remove the fan motor to clean the debris inside the fan. I know for a fact that my old car had the same symptoms and found out major debris when removing the fan motor. Anyway, i think that at this mileage, you need to clean the fan blades to prevent failing fo the fan motor.
