intermittent starting problem: car takes several seconds cranking before starting
hi:
So for about 2 years, i've been experiencing intermittent starting problems with my 2008 es350.
when attempting to start, the car will crank up to 4 seconds before finally starting. this happens Id say 1 out of 3 times.
during the 2 years of this problem, The car always starts.
the problem is MUCH MORE prevalent during hot temperatures in the summer, and it rarely occurs during winter. I live in Montana so we have hot summer and cold winters, so this problem appears to be temperature sensitive.
I'm thinking the problem might have to due with fuel pressure, which may vary during certain temperature swings? but that's just a guess.
any suggestions or insight would be much appreciated...i'd love to get this issue resolved.
thanks in advance!
