Cracked Valve Spring
The dealer has had my CPO 2007 ES350 due to VSC/CKENG/STABILITY lights went on. Not gas cap but miss firing due to cracked valve springs. Anyone else had this issue? This was a GS/LS recall with 3.5v6.

Very interesting as I had been familiar with broken valve springs on some of my older vehicles . I would guess due to the variable timing that a broken valve spring could let the valve stay open and possible hit the piston causing the bent valve. Is that what the dealer told you? Also why would only one break and did they replace all of the valve springs on that head.

Looks like cracked valve springs were an issue for certain year, models of Lexus and Lexus did a recall. I did not see the ES 350 in the recall list.

Here you can search your VIN to see recalls

I think there is a recall list sticky here.
