Default tpms sensor

can the battery in the tpm sensors be changed or do you have to just buy a new sensor ?
if so with sewell beaing closed what is the next best place for me to find a new sensor at OEM ?
or does anyone known what sensor i can get cheap online that is a good quality that works with out cars ?

i had the shop thismorning tell me that the battery is low and thats why the warning light won't go out they tried to scan it and said there scanner said something about low battery
does that make sense ?

I dont know whether or not you can change the battery. Ive mostly just heard of people replacing the unit whenever it runs out of juice or malfunctions.

MyLparts.com
Seems to be a good alternative. Free shipping after a certain $ amount and they're also a dealership so you know youre getting OEM parts.

~50$ per sensor.

The battery cannot be changed. The sensor is a sealed unit. A low battery should not set off the TPMS light. A dead batter will. Check the spare tire to make sure the pressure is ok. If you have a Costco Membership they may be able to help you.
