Default Strut brand/model preference

So at some point I will be replacing the struts and I wanted to get an idea of the struts that people have been using, whether it is OEM, KYB(not straight through Lexus), Monroe, etc. Also, let me know what your experience has been, whether they have changed the damping or ride characteristics in any way.

I have not needed to replace them on the 350 yet but I did KYB's on my previous ES300 and were happy with the results.
