Default Brake pads

I drive a 2008 es 350. I also drive city miles almost exclusively. Can i assume that i should have my brake pads checked at 45,000 mi (recommended by lexus) or should i have it done even sooner. I now have 43,500 mi on the tires.

I have over 176K miles on my 2007 and have replaced the brake pads twice. So I've found the Toyota stock pads to be awesome for wear.

It is recommended to inspect your brake pads as every driver is different, some brake lighter and others harder, and so wear time will be different.

I have to assume that with only 2 pad replacements in 176,000 miles, you are not driving stop and go city miles exclusively.
