New Brakes Still Squealing - Help.
Late spring/Early summer, I noticed my brakes were starting to go on my '09 ES 350, so I purchased ceramic brake pads and new rotors. My uncle (who's a reputable mechanic for a large trucking company) installed them on my car. He's also done brake jobs on my parents' RX 330 and RX350 with no issues.
Since then, my brakes have been producing a sweet symphony of squealing when I reverse, and then when I break at lower speeds going forward.
My uncle has been unable to figure out what is causing the squealing. He's even replaced the brake pads again just to be safe, since they were covered under warranty.
Fast forward to September, I had my usual oil change at my Lexus dealer. I asked them to check out my brakes and make sure everything was okay and installed correctly. They did an inspection and said everything looked normal and that I just need to "wear in" my brakes and over time the sounds would go away.
Nope.
Here I am in December and the noise is still there and still as equally embarrassing.
Has anyone experienced this issue, and if so, what was the problem and how did you fix it? Any advice would help greatly.
Thanks!
P.S. It sounds very similar to these videos I found on YouTube. It's not a grinding noise, just a high-pitched squeal:

Brake squeal is usually caused by the rear (metal) part of the pad vibrating on the caliper piston . When the pads were install was there a backing coating on the pads or did the install use brake grease on the pads and sliders. Sometime while backing up you will get a squeal but you should not have it going forward. Have the pads removed and apply brake grease to the rear of the pads and all of the pad contact points.
