I thought my 2010 ES was pretty basic, but I hear that back then you were able to get one with cloth seats. Is it true? I have NEVER seen a 5th gen ES without leather. Was it possible to get one with cloth upholstery? If so, do you have pics of your interior to prove? What other features were missing in the most basic (cheapest) ES 350?

I've heard about cloth interiors. I think I even saw a picture posted somewhere on this forum. FYI, not all packages available in the US are available in Canada. I'm pretty sure you can't buy a Canadian ES with a cloth interior.

The reason you don't see many with cloth seats is because most dealerships choose to only order premium/ml as the addons like leather seats increases their profit margins. Also, because most buyers expect a luxury car with a bare minimum of leather seats. Here in socal you are only able to get premium and higher because thats all the dealers stock.
Back in late 06 when I ordered my ES there was a woman at the dealership closing a deal on her first luxury car and had it as basic as possible. She had to preorder it to do so. She was the exception to the rule and it was out of the ordinary for someone to do so.
Never seen one around here with cloth seats.
