they're all trouble free. I bought my '07 back in '14 with 99,400 miles on it and didn't have any problems with it whatsoever. I think it depends on how the car being taken care of and whether or not the maintenance's been followed.

2007-2008 is maybe(still much more reliable than its competitors) 2009 and up is totally fine.

Please enlighten us with what problems you are aware of?
I am still driving my 2007 ES350 with no issue.

So people know about the transmission flare and vvt-i hose problems in the earlier models, but those issues were fixed by 2009. Window regulators can be an issue too as I've owned 3 cars of this generation and each and every one had a passenger side window regulator issue. Overall reliable vehicle no matter what year though.

Those are the issues + water pump, and all of them can be fixed for $500.

I have a 08 with 250 000km now, 0 major issues. Normal repairs, maintenance and mistake i've done.

My water pump is ok, but planning to replace this year. My passenger window fell down as broken plastic bracket, now fixed by myself.

You will love the ES regardless.
