Default AC only works on passenger side???

I have an '08 350 with less than 82K miles. My problem is the AC. The vents on the passenger side blow out cool air and all the vents on the driver's side blow out hot air. Even the vents in the backseat, the left one blows hot air and the right one blows cool (my son informed me of this as I hadn't even checked). As you can imagine it's very uncomfortable driving around in this CA heat every day, especially since the driver side vent in the center cannot be completely closed. Has anyone else encountered this problem or have any ideas as to what could cause this?

Oddiy, look at my post last week, i also have a ES 08 and it happened to me also, but stranglely, after turning off the car for a day and running again, the problem when away. My problem as inverted from your: i had cold air on the driver side and hot air on the passenger. To equilibrate the heat i have to turn all the way up to 30 degree celsius.

While that happen, i noticed a squeaky sound under the hood, my pulleys are worn out, had to replace all the pulleys, water pump, alternator, thermostat, tensioner. My car is due since it has 245 000 km.

The two problems are not related since my heating and cooling when back right away the next day before my repair.
