Default Warning lights on

Today my wife left her lights on and I had to give her a boost. Afterwards the check engine, vsc, and skid light came on. Now when you drive the car will move but does nothing when you give it gas. Anyone know what the problem could be? Another thing the cables got super hot when I was giving her a boost, something I have never seen before

I would be concerned about the heated cables. Did you have both cars running when you jumped the car. Apparently you may be in the limp mode which would mean you may have fried something. If you have a code reader you should see what codes come up. My bet is you will need to go to the dealer and have them hook up their system to see what happened. With all of the various modules in todays cars when you need to jump start the cars the donor car should not be running.

My condo garage Manager uses one of those stand alone devices for the jump. Not sure what they call it.

Turns out one of the fuel injector fuses was blown. Replaced it and everything's fine
