Default Spark plugs + Transmission Flush quotes

How much is the average price for transmission flush + spark plugs replacement at lexus dealership?

I've called a few toyota dealers nearby, they say $400 for transmission flush and ~$500 for spark plugs.

Then, I contacted my local lexus dealer to see how much more they could be, surprisingly their prices are almost half off what toyota quoted me

Tranmission flush:$170
Spark Plugs:314(including tax)

Have you guys ever get your spark plugs replaced or transmission serviced? If so,how much money got out of your pocket?

I think I paid about $250 for the two transmission flushes I've had done on my ESs (07 and 09) at Toyota. I'd avoid the dealer that gave you a $400 quote.

So $900 for both services? Wow, that's insane. Then again, the plugs in the rear of the V6 are a massive pain to get to.

That's very strange that Lexus is lot cheaper than a Toyota dealer. Very strange.

To answer you question: Toyota (near me) charges $300 for a "complete ATF exchange", not sure on the spark plugs as I usually do them myself.

Good luck!

They are not that massive pain. That's a 1 hour job.

1 hour to do 3 sparks or 6? Takes about 5 min for my 4 cyl Honda. Anyway I would consider changing the 3 toward the firewall a pain. For a novice (I don't know if you are a mechanic), it's a massive pain.

1h for 6. You have to remove the intake manifold to get to the rear 3.

No you don't this is not a transverse engine, the 2 rear plugs, one on the driver side and one on the passenger side are a little harder but not ridiculous. ! hour is about right to change all six on the GS3 cars.

transmission flush vs drain and fill are two different things, a real flush will cost more than drain and fill. Make sure you find out exactly what is performed.

$314 to change spark plugs sound ridiculously low for a lexus dealer, something is suspicious. My dealer quoted $600

The ES350 is not a GS3. It does have a transverse engine and the 3 rear plugs are a pain to access. You usually have to remove the intake manifold.
I know some in the RX forum have done by removing the wiper assembly instead. Not sure about the ES.

You are totally correct, I got confused because I started out on the GS3 forum and ended up here. I'm new on the Lexus forum. I'm sorry if I created any confusion.
