Default Tell me about the ES 350 please

I've had an es 330, es300 and am considering an es 350. Can someone compare them to the older models? Any known issues? Any years to avoid? Any body/interior differences by the years?

Great car all around. I too owned a ES 300 and the differences in technology is amazing. The 350 has a sportier ride than the 300 but it's still pretty soft. Much more power but better MPG than the 300 also. Much more modern look, but it is becoming a little dated IMO compared to the 2013+ models. The 07 and 08 models had some bugs with transmission flair, vvt oil line, and all 3 of my 350 models have needed the passenger side window regulator replaced. Fantastic car overall that they still use the drivetrain in for the brand new models. Ventilated seats are great too.

I own an 07 ES and honestly is one of the best cars you can ever have. It's very reliable and quite. My car does have the transmission flare as 12jimmyjam said but I don't think it's a big deal, it happens randomly at different gears and not always. Almost always when I accelerate like a grandma. Also, you need to keep an eye on the water pump for leakage as this is not a joke for this engine and the other cars that carry the same engine.

Should avoid first and 2nd year models. That being said, wife wanted a 07 Camry and I talked her into the 07 ES350. It was a 1st year model but based on the Camry that was, I believe, in it's third year at the time.

We had the oil line issue - almost blew engine but wife noticed oil light come on less than a mile from home. Only lost 2qts of oil. That was six months before the 'recall'. Never had the trany flare, nor pass window issues, nor water pump issues. Did replace alternator and radiator. Also had slight oil seepage from timing cover. It stopped when I changed over to 10/30 motor oil about 2 years ago.

Car running great otherwise. About to do third full ATF flush and 2nd plug change. I use full synthetic oil and change it at 10K miles. Did an oil analysis about 20K ago and everything looked like normal wear and tear.
