Cars don't generally just barf all their coolant out at once and if they do, it tends to happen rather dramatically. My guess is that there was a fairly slow leak that went unnoticed for some time until all the coolant was gone.

And ya, these cars are not bombs ready to fly apart.

Haven't posted in a very long while...checking back to review latest on the recall.

But on this issue, i do keep an eye on my garage floor and (not often as i should) coolant reservoir. Is there usually some notice given before they let loose like noticeable drips?
