"Check Air Conditioner" Message on Navi Screen
Hello,
After having the alternator replaced, the "Check Air Conditioner" message has appeared on the navi screen when attempting to use the AC. I have searched Google and this forum and have not been successful with a cause. As mentioned in one post, I did check to coolant level which seems fine. The mechanic who replaced the alternator used a scanner but was unable to determine the issue. Has anyone had this issue?
Thank you in advance

Thanks for the suggestion. I am waiting for the mechanic to get back to me. Is this something that can be diagnosed with a scanner or other electronic means?

A scanner or other electronic means is only as good as the operator. It is apparent your mechanic is a good remove and replace guy but not so great or interested in more elaborate diagnostics. It is also obvious he needs to spend the time to retrace all his work and electrical connections involved with installing the alternator as that is the likely source of your issue. You should not have to pay someone else to correct the problem he created.

I've had that message come on before after hitting a big puddle. I think turning the ac off and back on fixed it. On other cars I've had the ac push button light blink for the same reason. I'd assume it's belt related.

Thank you. I intend to check the belt when I have the chance this weekend. I found a post for entering the AC self diagnosis mode for an RX. Will this also work for the es? Thanks again all.

Check the pressure sensor cable next to the ABS module. Maybe he forgot to plug it back.
