Default cat converter 2007

hi everyone hopes your all have a great 2017

I know once the recall is complete and I can start driving my car again
the Cat Converter for bank 1 needs to be replaced

the dealership gave me a quate of 1300 dollars plus taxes for this service to be completed
this an amount you would pay is the majority of the price for the labor or the part?

When I look for parts in seeing things mostly that say not for one state or not for another so
I'm curious I don't ever plan on moving to CA and ill probably keep the car till the wheels fall over what
aprovedis the real difference betwapprovedand Not ? does one cause mileage or drop or get less performance ?

i usualy buy parts on RockAuto.Com and i when i look up for catyltic converters i see several of them there is like 18 different ones coming up and i don't get what any of them are why there are so many brans and are they different ones like i was told bank 1 is what i need are there more than 1 cat converter on the 2007 ES 350 ?
out of these that i posted below
what should i go.

and what could i look at the price for labor being i know my dealership will put on my own parts for me
all they gave me was a estiamte of 1300 verbally because they didn't even wright it up didn't charge me to look at it or diagnosed it they did that all for free told me if they had writen it up then there woudl have been a fee for all of that so im curiouse with the stuff i posted belwo

just pumping this since its been 2 weeks since i posted it and no one has replied not that im inpatient i tried to be paitient but 2 weeks no reaspons.
figured id bump this maybe someone that knows would see it this time.

am i correct in the fact the the best thing to do is buy a direct fit C.A.R.B ca emissions even if not in CA ?
and the direct fit is going to have the manifold and everything in one ?

and bank 1 is going to be the left side rear ? firewall side not radiator side ?

Definitely buy a direct fit but if you don't live in CA why would you buy a CARB approved part? Needless cost. Furthermore, if the car made it's way here it may still pass SMOG testing.

I was reading some stuff I can't find the links anymore for some reason almost like they where taken down
and I had a friend tell me once that they put a non CA compliant one on there Toyota and it kept spitting codes and issues
something I read was that even with out a CA Emissions that they all came stock with CA Emissions and I would have code that would set engine codes and exhausted codes off on them so that's what I am confused about.

also is it correct that Bank one is going to be Firewall side correct ? not the Radiator side bt firewall side for bank 1.
and just for the hell of it since its no more labor time to do the oxygen sensors should i replace those also the oxygen sensor they plug into the manifold am i correct ?

That's odd...could be true or could be internet mythology.

I don't know which bank is which in your car.

is there somewhere that i can look up and find what bank is which ?
like all im finding is when it says what side if its RH or LH or Firewarll or Radiator side but
none of the part listings say bank 1 or 2 so thats where this gets confusing

Bank 1 is typically where the number 1 cylinder is located so if you look up the firing order you will likely find your answer there

Right. You'll want to confirm but that is the most common configuration.

ok thank you
i always get ocnfused because of how the engines are mounted differently in a RWD and FWD so some would be transverse where left and right would really look like front and back so it gets confusing

Yes and also different OEMS and different model/year place the trans on different sides of the car so FWD engines can be turned either way, whereas a RWD is always pointing in the same direction.

What code came up that told you the cat was bad . Until there is a problem you don't have a problem.

I don't remember the exact codes I first got them back in July erased them didn't get them back until about mid August then cleared them again then
on my drive back in November driving West from Ohio to Utah I got a Cat Bank 1 code and an engine misfire code and an o2 sensor code that popped up like 3 times on that 3 day drive

then I got the cat bank two code again when one time when I drove the car to the dealership back in Jan to have something taken care of before parking it again or the past few months.
