Hi,

My car is 07 ES350.
I have a noise issue. It can be heard in drive seat.
It is like pulsing noies.

I spent a lot of time to find out what problem is.
Finally, fuel pulsation damper might have problem.
Here is ficture.

I am not sure if noise will decrease after replacement.
So, I would like to get an advice from who had experience.
Please help me.

Thank you,

You cannot buy the fuel pulsation damper because Toyota redesigned the fuel rail. You need to buy the fuel rail with damper assembly 23870-0P011. You'll also need the o-rings for the injectors, the seat gaskets, air-surge tank gasket, and throttle body gaskets.

The fuel damper probably wouldn't be making an audible noise. Take it to a mechanic before you throwing parts at it.

It can be really hard to diagnose noise problems. Bad suspension. Bad wheel bearings. Bad CV joint. Bad tires. Etc. Etc. Can you post a sound clip?

Default Here is noise clip

I can hear pulsing noise when P or N, D at stop. Regardless engine hot or cool.
As stepping on the gas, noise is gone.
Noise is coming up at stop.

Wow. Sounds like a locomotive. Definitely doesn't sound right. So it happens when the car is stopped. This is good in way because you can get out and go around and try to locate the noise, including popping the hood. Also, since the car isn't in motion, it's probably something in the engine bay or the exhaust system. My bet is the latter as that doesn't doesn't sound like a belt. It could be a miss-firing cylinder but you would have the CEL light on and I didn't see that in the video. Maybe you should get the codes pulled just in case though.

Thanks, jkayca,
Yes, it sounds like a locomotive.

You don't think this sound is from fuel pulsation damper.
Actually, I took car to mechanic, but they said, it is not problem.
But, sometimes they said 'no problem' when they didn't know what problem.

I am sure that someone had same problem in this forum...Show up please!!

Well from what I read, a bad FPD will cause the car to stall out and idle really rough. You didn't mention if the car stalls and from the video it doesn't sound like it's idling that badly. That's why I suggested that the problem maybe with the exhaust. And also, your mechanic doesn't think it's a problem.

It should also be noted, that the 07-09 suffer from rough idling but only when cold.

If you still feel the FPD is the problem you can still buy the part. The 07-09 still use this in their engines: http://www.lexussouthatlantaparts.co...327031080.html. Not sure about shipping to outside the U.S.A.

I know for a fact that the 2327031080 part does not fit because I bought it when I needed to replace my fuel damper. You might want to check your motor mounts and well. That much noise sounds more like something heavy banging than a fuel damper.
