Need to buy brake front brake pads and rotors...looking for recommendation.
Hi guy,
Its time for me to replace the pads and rotors on my 2009 ES350. Where and what do you guys recommend? Would like to try cross drilled rotors.... the OEM ones got warped. Thanx.

After looking around, I noticed many people recommend the Power Stop brake kit. On Amazon, this particular set has a 3.5 rating. Anyone have experience with these?

Do you have a shop tell you that your rotors need to be replaced and that they can't be turned or machined?
Or do you just want to replace the rotors because of miles?
I personally never have shopped other than dealerships do my breaks for one reason.
Except for the last time i had my rear breaks done at tire kingdom they did the breaks and rotors for free because about 50,000 miles earlier they lied to me about my breaks needing to be done they told me I had like 3mm left on my breaks and I drove another 50,000 miles and they still where looking good I called corporate up and insisted that they replace them for free if they don't want me to take a 400 dollar add out in the paper and let the ones know about how they tried to defraud me.
ok no Anyways the reason I go to the dealership is that my front brake pads have been replacing twice and my front brake rotors have been turned twice also I am on the original break rotors with 175k on them, and the dealership turned them each time saying they were fine and within spec to turn
the last time I had front pads done I took my own break pads into the dealer I just paid them for labor I used Akebono ceramic front pads.
to have them installed and the breaks rotors turned cost me about 200 in work service and the parts cost me about 40.00 i think on Amazon i think they have about 35k on them now, and they are still fine last time I had them checked at the dealer when i had tires replaced last week they front pads were at 7mm with 35k on them and the rear pads were at 8mm with 30k on them

Kinda along with what ThumperPup said ... I replaced OEM rotors with cross drilled rotors from MaxBrakes, a Canadian company, at about 90K miles. Rotors were nice looking and did their job. I kept the OEM rotors and had them turned at Oreillys. When I misdiagnosed a brake shimmy (it needed rear rotors) at about 150K, I put back the OEMs and they remain on the car with no problems. I had the Max rotors re-surfaced and plan on re-installing them when the OEM rotors start to give me problems. I'm using Autozone ceramic pads cause they keep replacing them at no cost when they wear down.

I haven't seen anyone mention Brakemotive. They are the most popular brake product on the Infiniti forums. I've installed two sets and swear by them. When my M35x had about 45,000 miles on it, the dealer quoted $420 to replace the rear pads. That's when I started searching the forums and bought and installed my first complete set of brakes - I had never done it before and I've now done sets for myself a couple of friends. Right now, a complete set for our Lexus ES350's costs $143.15 including delivery. Here is the link if you're interested - http://www.ebay.com/itm/FRONT-REAR-D...item43ca657d26

I just went through this on the LS. IMHO cross drilled and slotted performance brake products are dramatic overkill on these cars, and if anything cause more potential problems than benefits.
I replaced the front brakes on my LS with a set of Cetric Premium rotors and Centric PosiQuiet Ceramic pads because the OEM rotors warped so badly. Had the same issue with my ES350 and ES300 when I had them. So far performance is great, feel is much better than the OEM brakes and after a long trip braking down mountain grades I have no warping, no fade. 100% happy camper.

Its not a performance car, this equipment will give you great performance and better life than the OEM parts.
