Default Changing the battery in 2012, ES 350

I need to change the battery in my 2012, ES 350. I would like to know if I need to keep a separate constant charge on the system while the car battery is not connected. What happens if I do not keep a charge on the system?
Thanks Ed

No, you can just change the battery. But for your car you should be posting here:

You could lose the memory in some things: ECM, clock, radio, etc.. You can buy a battery saver device that uses a 9-volt battery and plugs in cig lighter. I don't mind resetting everything, but ...

^^^^I've changed the battery on my ISF and an ES350 and none of the things you mentioned are affected. However, the power windows need to bet reset. Otherwise, no issues.
