07 ES 350 Control Arm !
I am helping my daughter who has a bad bushing in the right lower control arm. The ALLDATA says you have to remove the engine and transmission assembly? I cant believe that's true!

I see some posts regarding lowering the sub-frame on the right to get enough clearance to remove the motor mount. Has anyone actually done this ? Remove the bolts on the right sub frame and dropping the mount 1 1/2 inches whilst jacking up the engine 2 inches to get enough clearance to get the right hand side motor mount to access a control arm fastener

Any help or non theoretical help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Yes, replaced both LCAs as indicated on the link above. I'll add to remove the dog-bone shape engine strut on top, pass-side, so you don't damage it when you left the engine up. You may find the strut is already cracked; I've replaced ours twice.

Also, since you'll be lifting the engine, I suggest you consider replacing the ATF filter because you need to lift up the engine on driver-side to access a hard-to-get pan bolt. You'll need about 5 qts ATF to replace what you remove. Full flush will require about 12 qts. I recommend Valvoline Max Life Dex/Merc
