HI guys just bought a sweet red es350 and the former owner broke of screw in back license plate. took off interior trunk panel and there is no getting at the screw from the back. The screw is plastic and an easy outs cant get a grip (to soft) Any Ideas? thanks

drill it out with a tiny bit first then progressive bigger? burn it out using a soldering gun long tip? use a left handed drill bit?

Since it is plastic, another idea would be to create a groove using a knife and then back it out using a flat blade screwdriver.

Same thing happened to us, but we took it to a nearby garage/mechanic and they used a metal screw and pushed the other screw inside.

I tried heating up screw driver and tried to back it out no go... ended drilling the plastic out until i could get a screw in mission accomplished... thanks...
