When changing front brake pads on a 2012 ES350, remove the cap on the brake fluid reservoir to avoid pressure buildup. I did not do this and a few day's after changing pads, I could not start because I couldn't depress the brakes far enough to activate the safety switch. My battery was going anyways so I replaced it but got the same results. I took the brake fluid reservoir cap off which released the pressure: problem solved.
