!!Alternate tire sizes?
Will be needing tires soon for my ES---would like a wider tire because I can't stand the look of the skinny 215/55/17. I see that some ES owners run 225/55/17, I'm wondering is anyone running a 235/50/17? This would be the same diameter as the 215/55, but its .8" wider which I think I would be more satisfied instead of going with the 225/55 that is only .4" wider than stock. Thanks in advance !

interested to see where this thread goes on this topic
i think on the rear it would be fine
but the problem might be on the front when you start to turn might have issues with rubbing but again im not positive

Check if it is too wide for the stock wheel. There are some web sites to identify whether different tire sizes will work and clear your suspension and calculate the diameter.

I bought my 07 es350 with what I think are is250 wheels on it and the front tires are smaller than the back ones. I have 255/40zr18 99wxl on the back and 225/40r18 92w on the front .I love how the wider back tires look but I don't like how the front tires leave a big gap in the wheel well. It is not super noticeable but I see it and it bugs me. I'm planning on going to my friend's tire shop and getting 2 tires for the front very soon. I will ask him if 255 will fit on the front without rubbing when I go see him .
I will post pictures of the back tires when I get the chance
