Default Nav screen problems

I recently purchased a 07 es350 with the ultra luxury package and I love almost everything about it. The only thing that sucks is that the navigation screen is non responsive. I bought the car knowing it didn’t work. I did some research and found that many people have replaced the lcd digitizer and this solved the problem. So I did that and the touch screen still doesn’t work. The funny thing is that once and a while the screen will switch from the language selection screen to the map and it will let me touch some icons on the screen. But as soon as I turn off the car and turn it back on it goes back to the language selection screen and the touch screen is totally useless again. If anyone has any advice or has had this problem I would appreciate the input

Almost sounds like a software boot up problem. The other option would be to replace the infotainment unit as a whole. Unfortunately your best bet is to take it to a dealer and let them plug into your system and see what they find.

first thing that comes to mind is a bad digitizer but if its already been changed, theres something else up. id take it in.

Thanks for the feedback! I also was thinking it must be the digitizer because it seems to be a common problem with these cars but I personally installed a brand new one and nothing changed. As for taking it in to the dealership I asked the service rep last time I was there and he said that all they can do is replace the whole thing, and the price he quoted me was insane.

Are you guys saying that the dealer can plug in just the infotainment system and diagnose the problem? And if it is a software problem wouldn't updating the navigation system with a new navigation DVD solve the problem (in theory)?
