rpm at idle in "D"
#16
If you check out the correct engine model (the 2GR-FE) and the associated TB info you will see that there is no IAC valve (intregral or otherwise). If you look into the TB bore (before and after the throttle plate) there is no throttle plate air bypass passage that you would see if there was an integral IAC valve.

I've got the same issue on my 2011 ES350 with 55k on the odometer. I've run Redline and Techron FI cleaners through it and had the TB cleaned. I reset the ECU to try and reset the idle. No improvement. I took it to the dealer and spent $200 on a complete diagnostic to find a root cause for the rough idle and they told me all was good.
My fix? Drive around with AUTO selected on the climate control which forces the compressor to be engaged (which adds about 75RPM as the ECU compensates for the additional load) I'm at about 650RPM at a stoplight in D.
It's nice because cold air is always available
I admit this is no fix, but I'm done messing with it. I've spent hundreds of $$ trying to find a fix.
I did read somebody here say that they replaced the Diamond OEM ignition coils with Densos and it resolved the problem....but $60ish x 6? I'll wait until it drives me crazy - which is getting close - or I lose cylinder 6. Then I'll just swap them all out.
Good luck and keep us updated with any findings!
