Default 0-20 vs 5-30 ?

so i know your probably thinking about this as reading the title omg not another oil ware thread lol.
so I hope this doesn't torn into that
the dealership near me has packages of full synthetic 2 oil changes filter changes rotations and inspections for 110 with 0-20 weight
and 5-30 conventional 3 services for 150.00
I asked them for a full synthetic oil change service package didn't realize that it was only going to be good for 0-20 not for 5-30 until after it was done.
from what I have been reading 20weight is thinner and better for colder temps not high temps it's not like I'm in Florida with it being 120 or in the vegas dessert but am I going to run into trouble with the 0-w20 full synthetic in my engine? I'm up in Utah it does reach temps of like in the 90s at times during the summer but is i going to be ok with the 0-w20? in my 07 ES350

It is probably not a big deal and likely no harm will come to your car on one oil change interval of 0w20. The RX350 has almost the same engine and takes 0w20. Besides, it is synthetic.
If it worries you, tell the dealer they put the wrong grade oil in then they should swap it out for the correct grade at no charge.

cool aslong as it's not going to cause any harm that I need to panic about then I'm fine with it I don't want to be a *** to them either after what they just did for me without giving me any trouble
last month I went in to have my drive belt changed and they told me that the boot on my steering rack was torn near the tie rod and i told them about how there other dealership had just done transmission work and asked if it was possible they torn that boot doing the transmissions they said its possible so I just got home form a 6000 mile road trip and took the car in on Friday to have them change the boot on the steering rack and they did alot more than just that they replaced the tie rod and driver side axle saying there were other issues they noticed that was wrong that could have been related to transmission work being done so they did that all without even asking me for any money at all so I don't want to be an *** to them about an oil change if its not going to do any harm.

The 2007-2012 ES350 and RX300 are rated by Lexus to be able to use 0W-20, 5W-20 and 5W-30. FWIW, I have run 0W-40 in the RX with no issues.

When I find it, I use 0-30W, so anything in this range is ok IMO...
0-20W has become a standard for new cars (including our 2GR engine) so to hit the lower mpg, and is standard for dealers now too...

From Amsoil,

Bottom line…

If you use a viscosity that’s one grade higher or lower than what’s recommended for your engine, it’s unlikely you’ll do any lasting harm. But, to alleviate any concerns about engine protection and your vehicle warranty, it’s best to use the viscosity recommended in your owner’s manual.
