All of sudden, my iphone (model 6S plus) started to occasionally stream music to the car's speakers. For years only phone calls could do that by bluetooth pairing. I have no way of repeating this it just happens. Most of the time I rely on the phone's speaker phone for music but would love to know how to make this happen...... Its magical when it does. Anybody have this experience? It usually works when I play a podcast in whatsapp....

Cool ![Uhh...](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/1387914497.gif)
It could be tricked by the app to think that you are in a call and thus broadcasts the audio over the speakers. Does the sound come out of the FR LH speaker only, or all 8(ish) speakers?

You are 100% correct. Whatsapp appears to trick the car audio in thinking its a phone call as the phone call screen appears on the navigation screen when the podcast plays. And yes the sound only comes out of the FR LH speaker. It only works with Whatsapp and not the regular music app on the iphone. But since I listen to most podcasts this is a great new feature for an 11 year old car. Curious to hear if other Lexus drivers have found this feature??/

You could also plug in an aux cable or get an adapter deal like one of these: https://www.cnet.com/how-to/ways-to-...to-an-old-car/
