Bought new 2009 RX30,
Has only 45,000 miles.
Just had a brake job done.
Abs goes off at odd times.
Diagnostic done by Lexus floored me with a $6,500 quote on replacing rear left abs sensor and rear struts and structures due to exessive rust.
They said you must live on the ocean, ah NO.
How do I get Lexus to correct and pay for this?
Is the underneath pot metal from China?
I don't drive in winter either?

I didn't see or don't know if you have seen the rust problem. Did they take you out to the car and show you the problem. If not then you need to go to someone who can show you the problem. Cars rust from the bottom up unless you don't drive it in rain and keep it in a heated garage. Living in Ma. even if you didn't drive in the snow there is still the remains of winter road salts which when mixed with rain will start the problem. So go to a good body shop and have them take a look and go from there.

By structures not sure what you mean. Is it the base of the struts, sounds like it might not be that bad if it’s just the part of the strut itself. I wouldn’t go to an auto body but to a mechanic you trust. Almost cars are rusty underneath especially if people don’t do undercarriage washes a few times during the winter. A mechanic can tell you if it’s surface rust or if it’s rot which needs to be addressed but regardless of mileage rust is due to age.
