I recently replaced my turn signal bulbs with LEDs and want to replace the turn signal flasher with an LED compatible flasher to solve hyper flashing. I have run several searches on how to find and replace the flasher unit with no success. Does anyone on this forum have tips on how to replace the flasher or find information on how to do it?

I would rather not go the resister route to resolve the hyper flashing.

I installed a Diode Dynamics Smart Tap turn signal/flasher relay today, and the installation went smoothly following the instructions you provided. Thanks again for your help.

The Smart Tap works very well, too.

Hey there
First, thanks nevernu for the pdfs, they were pretty helpful.
Attached are some pictures when I changed the stock Toyota flasher relay for the LED one. BTW I bought that relay in AutoZone and is not Chinese, it is made in the USA so it should be reliable.
Let me know if you guys have any questions about the installation of this relay. It took me about 10 minutes including changing the rear incandescent bulbs for the Sylvania zebo I bought.

Does your car flash when lock/unlock?

First, when I installed the the rear LEDs the lock/unlock flash did not work, honestly I didn't care about that, but a week after, when I installed the front ones (now all my blinkers are LED) the lock/unlock flash returned! So all is good! btw I used the Sylvania Zevo 7444 T20 Amber LED bulbs for the rear and front flashers and the relay is from AutoZone.
