whats the difference in power for a 2010 ES350 and 2010 IS350?

I noticed the IS has 300hp and the ES only 272hp .

what is the difference in the 2 ? what did they do on the IS for the extra power?

Mostly direct injection in FSE engine...

IS requires premium too. One of my gripes about lexus is that most of their cars do. That’s one reason that I’m sticking with the es when I buy another.

the ES doesnt require premium? I thought it said on my fuel door it did .. I am new to my 2010 es350

Lexus positioned itself as a premium brand along with other like BMW, Benz, etc who require premium gas. However, since most drivers never put premium in their cars, Lexus remapped the ECM so that the default is regular now. This was done some years ago, so depending on the model year of your ES, your OM could be saying one or the other.

My '07 says premium, but I have been putting regular in it for years now...
