Sound not coming when radio is switched on
Greetings everyone,
First post in this forum.
To cut right to the matter, I have ES 350 2012, just brought it last month. Just yesterday, my friend accidentally spilled some coffee on the control panel (car has nav system), unfortunately the liquid got into the CD/audio control buttons as well as the FM/AM/CD/Aux buttons (not to mention the gear shift.) Cleaned everything up immediately, but was unable to clean the buttons properly until today (some were still sticky) with a moist towel... so got the buttons to work properly now.
Since this accident happened, the car audio is switching on, the touch screen for preset radio stations and the manual AM/FM buttons are working, but no sound is coming for the radio stations. I plugged in my phone into the AUX unit to confirm if any problem with sound, but the music was playing perfectly via the AUX cable and phone.
I have yet to check the fuses (under the steering wheel), but could this also be an AMP problem due to liquid seepage? As mentioned, sound is coming via AUX, but once the audio is switched on, no sound is coming for the radio stations. Everything is working fine, including the touch screen and steering wheel controls.
Any help is much appreciated.

There's no mystery as to what caused the problem but to resolve it may require disassembly of the infotainment system. I would venture to guess that the switches are toast and will require replacement . You may be able to clean them up with tuner cleaner but you will still need to take them apart. You may luck out and after all is dry they will work again but I think chances are slim . You may have to go the dealer route or find a car audio shop to get this repaired. When you do get it fixed I would give the bill to the friend who spilled the coffee. Good luck
