so i found this center armrest leather replacement leather pre cut and all for like 25-30 bucks on eBay but the interior shops near me want like 65 bucks to put it in replacing the warn-torn leather on my armrest
i can't find any videos or anything step by steps that show me exactly how i would do this on my own has anyone done this ? or does anyone know anyone who has and can atleast give me some pointers is it glue in do i need to glue it is it going to be a messy job pulling and then peeling and scraping the old one away from the plastic cover itself ?

Although not helpful to your particular situation, I've replaced the console cover on a couple of my Corvettes as well as my son's Accord and it was an easy 15 minute job.
Lexus does so many things well, it's hard to understand why they made replacing the console pad/cover so challenging.
Any chance you could find the entire lid assembly at a wrecking yard that would be easier and less costly?
Good luck-- be interesting to see your outcome.
