Buying 2007 ES right before major maintenance service?

Absolutely agree. Not only you get to see questionable people, they setup appointments and dont show up without calling, and when they do show up you start getting hassled about maintenance records, taking it to their mechanic for inspection, and in the end they start bargaining. Screw that, the car is selling for $3-4k and they expect new car dealer service. And what if the car breaks down few days later after you sell it, the nut case might be at your home. No thank you.

The best strategy is to drive your car until it has very little value so when you get a new one you just hand it over to the dealer and you dont care or feel like you are getting ripped off.
