2010 map update and TPMS disconnect
Is there a way to update my maps without going to the dealer on a 2010 ES350 (not sure if it's DVD or not as it was right when they made the change).
Also if anyone know how to disconnect the TPMS light on the dash I'd appreciate it. I've filled all four tires and the spare and hit the reset and that did not work, so I'd just as well not deal with it anymore.
Thanks

I thought I read the latest updated maps were made in 2015, that they are DVD based and they will not be updated again. Its quite likely that you have the latest, but I confess, I am not sure how you can tell (I presume its somewhere hidden in the interface?)
As for the tire pressure light, assuming it doesn't impact state safety inspections, I would put a small piece of black tape over the light . You didn't mention if, in fact, a tire was losing air, only that you filled them and hit reset. I would be sure to follow up with a tire gauge to make sure you don't have a leak. Also, I believe the sensors mounted to the valve stem, use a battery. The battery can wear our or fail over time. Maybe that is the issue? While Fall up north is a frequent time for these lights to go off, maybe its later for Florida. The hot sun / cool nights can cause small pressure changes. Perhaps one side of the car faces the sun all day while the other doesn't? It only takes a few PSI difference to trigger the sensors. A 10 degree temp change can cause a 1 PSI change in a tire. Get large temp swings and you can see why the light might come on.

Thanks for replying. I don't think my system is DVD based as they switched right around that time. My maps are ten years old already.
Also, my tires are good and I've gone through the troubleshooting so I assume but the batteries are starting to fail in the sensors, which I am not interested in replacing. I read that someone here disconnected the dash light and that's why I was asking.

I just had all 4 TPMS sensors replaced at Costco for $246, plus they fill your tires with Nitrogen. A local independent quoted twice that amount! Only one had failed, but that meant the rest of them would fail soon.

This was on my 2011 HS250h. The spare does not have one. I recall my old 2008 ES350 had a full size spare with an alloy wheel and a TPMS sensor. I sold it several years ago.
