Default Steering Wheel Cover Peeling

I have a lexus es350. The cover on the steering wheel, the portion that has the bluetooth and the volume up and down is peeling. only the two sides are peeling off.. the middle portion of the steering wheel is all in tact. Just the rubber portions on either sides.. Please let me know what I could do. Thanks

There is a post on this site discussing this issue. I believe the only way to get it back to original is to replace steering wheel. which is major work in itself. Mine has peeled off ive left it as is.

You can replace only the buttons.

Both are possible..

one, replace whole wheel.

two, buy aftermarket button covers. (https://www.google.com/search?q=2009...w=1565&bih=865 )

What's peeled away from mine so far, is only bottom 3/4" on right side.
I just bought a piece of black matte vinyl wrap.
I'm hoping I can add an inch of the wrap to cover and (hopefully) match the OEM covering.
If it comes out well, will try and remember to post before & after photo here.

i went with vinyl decal when i first got the car 3 years ago. It looks so ugly and not even fitting right. Tired to see the ugly vinyl piece everyday, i bought a used buttons on ebay, easy swap out and could not be happier looking at it everyday

2007-2012 lexus es350 steering wheel control as they are interchangeable. I took me less than 10 minutes to swap these control buttons as they are plug and play.
I see lot of brand new ones from $129-$209 and used ones less than $100.
Other option is buy a whole steering wheel USED for about $120, just make sure you look for the ones with good control buttons.
Good Luck.

I found them on Aliexpress for $130 but I'm afraid to get them right now from China. I would rather put 2010-2012 buttons but they seem to be expensive.
