Default Charging system not charging the battery!

Good Day Everyone,

I'm hoping you can provide some help and guidance with my issue. I have a 2007 ES 350 156,000 miles, A couple of night ago I turned it on, shifted to D and when I started to drive it jerked a little, I dove it to the end of the block and jerked a little, the RPM seemed a little too fluctuate from 800 to 600 and then the battery light came on. I also noticed that the battery was not being charged I have an amp gauge on my BlueTooth and was only at 12.3 and dropping. I thought to myself its the alternator? I replaced it in Oct of 2019 so still under warranty. I took it out and got it replaced with a Denso remanufactured, installed it the car starts right up, I see no battery light. (i thought to myself I was home free). I checked the voltage just to be sure all is good 11.9 and it stayed light that, so the alt was not charging. I could have had a back Alt to took it our and had it replaced. I re-installed it and the car starts right up but not this time the battery light is on and again the voltage is 11.8 -11.9. I swapped it out this time before installing it I took it to AutoZone it passed all tests, installed it again and yet again the battery light is on and the voltage is 11.8. Any ideas of what it could be? I tested all the fuses, inside and in the engine bay. Not sure what else I can try to attempt to troubleshoot the issue?

As I mentioned it starts right up and idle correct no issues. I did not drive the car yet. Has anyone experienced this kind of issue in the past?

Thanks to any help you be appreciated

Rafael

You said your battery is at 11.8. A new alternator could be damaged if the battery voltage is too low. I would get the battery charged and tested. Then if it’s charged and passes the tests, reinstall everything and go for a drive to check the charging voltage. Also make sure your battery connections are clean.

Hi, I did say it was @ 11.8, so what I did is charged the battery and the carr starts up I can now see that the voltage is at 12.5, but not charging I should be seeing voltage in the 13s. I'm not sure if the Link fuse might have blown? I will take it for a drive and see if the issue continues.

Thanks

Definitely not charging.
I'd get another alternator.

If you are careful, you could run a jumper wire directly from the alternator to the battery. Just don't ground anything!
