I cleared all the transmission trouble codes and were able to clear the memory and force a relearn. No improvement.

Vehicle not running, all the solenoids worked upon commands via Techstream. I could hear the activated sounds when my ear is pressed against the transmission pan. It was not possible to listen via stethoscope as SLT solenoid buzzes loudly whenever SL2 solenoid is commanded. They work together.

While I drove the vehicle, a young assistant was able to capture the live data and it shows that the SL2 solenoid was not activated as all the conditions were not met. I've ordered the valve body pressure sensor/switch for $50 and will replace it just to rule out the possibility that the sensor is not working properly (but appears to be within specs) and could be sending too low pressure info to the TCM to activate the solenoid. I'm also searching for more info to better understand all the conditions required for SL2 solenoid activation.

Will try to get an adult driver behind the wheel this weekend so I can observe the live data myself.

Default Dear WeR138, the problem was not fixed.

I've been busy and have not had much time to look into the conditions that would activate SL2 solenoid after replacing the pressure switch. So my wife has been driving mostly around town on 3 speeds. After new year, I'll look into it further. beyond that, I'll look for another used transmission for replacement.
Happy holidays.
