This has been covered before https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-...dashboard.html

This has more data, but the time limit has passed for anyone with this problem who has not yet had it fixed.

2007 - 2008 ES350
  • Toyota’s primary coverage extended the warranty for any owner of one of the listed vehicles, regardless of mileage or when the vehicle was first used. The primary coverage ended on May 31, 2017.
  • Secondary coverage also extended the dashboard warranty in the listed vehicles without mileage limits, but only up to 10 years from the date the vehicle was first used.

Ours is a late 09 model and it’s “official” in service date wasn’t until August of 2010, also I thought the recall that extended to the rest of the 09-12 ES’s didn’t expire until like June or July 2021 regardless of mileage/age.

For some reason I thought that too. Let us know if you find this to be the case. I'm wondering if something can be added to the dash to strengthen it and make it look better. some sort of glue, etc.

Go to this link and enter your VIN https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls

Plus here is another prior thread on the sticky melting dash https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-...g-dash-11.html

This is the letter Lexus sent out to all the eligible VINs. For reference, my car was sold in March 2010 as a 2010MY. Also, I noticed in the FAQ it states this is NOT a recall but a voluntary Customer Support Program and to get more info you need to contact your local dealer. Good luck, it looks like your car should still be eligible if it was never addressed.

For those who don't wanna download the PDF, it says my Primary Coverage is valid until March 31, 2021 and Secondary Coverage (after Primary Coverage Period ends) is Applicable for 10 years from the vehicle's date of first use, regardless of mileage.

This program doesn't show up on recall searches, because it was never a recall. I tested with my own VIN to confirm.

Update: talked to my dealer and they said my car is covered until March 31st, 2021. They have to take pictures of my dash and send them off to Lexus to see if they approve then they will order the parts and start the repair.
