Hey all, forgive me for no photos. I'll get some up when I can.
Does anyone have any experience with screwing in the door lock? I recently bought a 2007 ES 350. It was in pretty dang good shape, 112K miles for a good price so it was hard to pass up.
However, it seemed the lock cap was loose. Upon further investigation, the whole lock was loose and you can pull it out.
I popped off the rubber cap inside the door to expose the screw. The screw was not screwed in. So I figured it was a simple tightening with a T-30 screwdriver.
Unfortunately, the screw isn't aligning with the hole. It seems that the lock is going as far in as it can go, and there is not much room for moving when its in the door.
Any suggestions for getting that to fit correctly?
FYI - My key does go in and the lock works. Something is just off.
