Got Performance Chip Feedback?
I'm new to this forum and posting for the first time. Sorry if this topic has been covered, I looked but didn't see it.
My 2010 ES350 is a bit boggy when accelerating. Also, the shifting is a bit mushy. I know this is not a performance vehicle, but is there a way I can make it more of one? Wondering specifically about "performance chips." Are these a gimmick, or do they really work?
Got any wisdom to share?
Thanks!!
Mike

How many miles are on your ES? You may get more benefit from getting the transmission fluid changed, maybe getting a fuel induction service, and changing the plugs and coils if over 120,000 miles.

Only 105K miles. Had the fluid changed at 98K. I just bought this car at 98K, and really think the tranny is shifting as designed. I like to drive it hard, but the tranny doesn't like to keep up. If I'm not on the throttle it is just fine. I just think it is a luxury car, not designed for higher performance. Is this a correct assumption in your opinion?

That is correct, this is a luxury version of the Camry. This (2GR-FE) 3.5 V6 will not get any faster with a so-called performance chip. Just replace the engine air filter every 10,000 miles and run a bottle of Techron fuel system cleaner through the gas tank to help clean the injectors etc. and maximize normal performance.
You may want to visit this Camry link as Camry owners do more to modify their vehicles and it is a mechanical twin
