Replacement front seats/covers
Hey gang,
Looking to fix the front seats in my '07, as the leather has split in a couple of places. Don't really need new seat frames, so I was hoping to just get new leather covers for these. Anyone have good experience with a particular company or product? I found these, but don't know much about them --> Lseat Covers.. Looks like you can get them with the perforated insert as well.
Any other ideas?
Thanks!

You can find used seat covers on eBay. They sometimes sell the back and bottom separately. That is usually cheaper than getting another seat unless you find a junkyard deal.
You may also want to contact a few local car upholstery shops.

I bought the bottom part for the driver seat from a company in Texas on eBay. It looks and feels like the facory one.

Leather + perforated vinyl. Like new after 8 months.

I never took any pictures, it's not complicated to replace the bottom part. You need to remove the seats from the car, you need to remove all the side plastics and then you unclip the leather cover all around. With some pliers you open the steel circles that hold the middle part of the cover (you will reuse those circles). You need to switch the seat heater from the old one to the new one, it should be stitched on a couple of places. It's pretty straight forward.

I'm also wanting to replace the front seat backs as well. I'm curious what happens to the map pockets on the back of the seat. I guess I'll find out once I get around to that job. New struts come first!

They for for the ventilated seats. You just need to swap the heater element.

I have vented seats on my 2010 RX350. The passenger bottom is just starting to rip on the perforations. I'm thinking of using stretchy sewing thread to slow down the rips but ran across this posting.
LjeksesES, you wrote "Leather + perforated vinyl." Can you explain that further? Will the replacement leather have the perforations like what is in the OEM? Thanks.

The replacement Cover will have the holes for ventilation and it comes with a much thicker pad and the seat is more comfortable.
