unable to pair with garage door opener
Anyone else have problems trying to pair with a garage door opener? In the same day I paired 4 cars, honda, acura, jeep & chevy with the same garage door opener, but my lexus refused to pair. any ideas?

Some of the older Lexus models are not compatible with modern garage door openers. You may need to carry a separate door opener.
Having said that, did you first erase any old stored codes before trying to program it? You have to do that first. Look on youtube for help.

I had a problem with my opener too. Turned out it could only store so many codes. So maybe try erasing/resetting the opener as Clutchless suggests and try programing again. Except this time start with the Lexus. If it craps out on the last car again then you know it's a problem with the opener not the car.

Newest openers need a homelink bridge to communicate with older cars.
You most likely need a Homelink bridge. I have paired many devices. Call Homelink support. They will check everything out while your on the phone with them.

Both my older ES and LS refused to program with my Genie opener that has rolling codes. Try this method. You will need the remote that comes with the opener for this to work. This will sound weird but try it.
1. erase codes in car (see your manual)
2. press learn button on front of opener unit. Light starts to flash (on the Genie anyway)
3. press and hold the programable Homelink button in car AND press and hold the
open/close button on the remote till light stops flashing on unit.
This sounds absurd but it worked on both my older Lexus models.
