P0304 Rat chewed the harness
yesterday morning, I got the CEL and VSC came on with car running rough.
ODBii showed P0304 code
and I opened the hood and took engine cover off and bam.
The rat chewed the harness. Attached the pic.
Looks like it is the connector to the injector for cylinder #4 front middle fully chewed? And #1 was attempted.

- Can anyone tell me whether this is the injector connector for sure or something else?
- and if I get a Lexus Fuel Injector Connector Plug Pigtail off ebay and connect the wires, would that work?
- Any other suggestion

You are far from the first to have this problem. Get a pigtail and rewire it. That is injector wiring. Some crooked dealers actually try to sell an entire wiring harness for a small fortune. You can fix this yourself or a good independent can do the repair.
Look at this RX thread starting around post 77 as it is similar damage.https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...o-my-rx-6.html

Thanks man. Very helpful.
The lexus engine cover has this foam thing underneath to absorb engine sound. But
I guess during cold wither nights, it provides nice isolation with warm cozy nest to rodents from engine heat.

Most car companies now use wiring with Soy based insulation which the rodents just happen to find very tasty.
Also check your cabin air filter box as they like to nest inside.

That sucks, I noticed when I bought my car there were some nuts and shells from a rodent under the engine cover. We blew them out before purchase but on a recent oil change I found more broken shells and a chewed up foam on the engine cover. Hoping this doesn't happen to my car, but who knows.
