will do that when temps are better, we don't really have garages out here in Wyoming.
what kind of mileage you guys get on highway in the 07-12 ES 350? one without eco modes
I got 23-24 mpg on highway driving strictly, that's a little low because me 14 Avalon in eco mode gives me 28 mpg on the highway, I do drive really fast, especially on long drives, its not your typical 70 mph cruises.

What year is your ES350 and does it have eco mode?
what are your driving habits? drive spirited or cruise control? what speed are you cruising at on highway?
How many miles on your car? and did it ever pop that oil cooler hose or did your replace it before it went bad?
I'm curious to see why the huge difference in our MPG.

I got the car in 2014 and I replaced the VVT-i hose with the metal one.
Reset the throttle memory but leaving the battery disconnected over night. Maybe the injectors are bad or the pre-cat O2.
The best option is to scan the fuel trims with Techstream.

what should the readings be? where to buy? I searched and found too many links.
does a simple software and a cable do?
#21
O2 should give a code when they’re done.
The readings for the trims should be close to 0. I think the upper threshold is 20.
The Techstream cable and software on Aliexpress.

The techsteam should know what the fuel trims are suppose to be on its own? also I looked it up and it seems I can customize how my car responds to lock and unlock commands, have you done that? and has that given any issues?
Thank You so much for your help.

No idea why but it isn't doing it anymore on its own, hasn't done that since 3-4 days, I'm gonna buy Techstream cable and software from AliExpress and I will check the vehicle computer and report back.

If this problem returns, I would look into the fuel filter/pump assembly. Mine was causing cold start issues due to a bad o-ring allowing pressure loss when it sat overnight or for any extended period of time.

I had a Honda Odyssey that had a hard time starting. I had to turn the key to the on position for a few seconds before cranking the engine to prime the fuel pump. A new fuel pump is $350 for just the pump. So as a last ditch effort before replacing the fuel pump I ran a can of Seafoam through it. It never needed priming again.

so in my own personal experience, I have never seen anything like this before but it seems, when I was last having this issue, I made the post.
fully charged the original battery, put it in, the issue continued, after 20+ consecutive starts the issue completely disappeared and it started perfectly for 10+ days, then I reinstalled the fully charged new walmart battery, and the issue came right back, and its been 20+ starts again on this new battery and the startup hesitation seems to have gone away again...makes no sense to me.
it seems the computer needs to relearn everything in the 5 minutes its takes to switch out the battery? I could be wrong.
