Default 2007 ES350 No Start VSC Fan on No OBD connection

Have the subject vehicle with 165K miles. Have owned it since 95K. Motor will not turn over. Lights appear to be normal. Have VSC warning. Fan is on high and soon as push button start is activated. My scanner will not connect through the OBD port. I get a message that it cannot connect. Mechanic said bad ECM but another used ECM does the same thing. Was ready to send out the original ECM for repair but did a little more reading this evening...

I read where similar symptoms for similar year IS and GS series were caused by bad electrical Fuel Pressure Sensor. When I look up my 2007 ES350 I cannot find an electrical fuel pressure sensor on the fuel system exploded diagram.

Any one else out there have this problem? Do I have an electrical fuel pressure regulator/sensor?

Thanks!

Did you check the fuses?

All of the relays and fuses check out. I really don't want to spend the $$ for a new ECM and have the same issue.

Ignition will turn on. Fan comes on at high speed with you turn the ignition on. Engine will not turn over when start button is depressed. VSC is on. Scanner will not connect saying there is a communication issue.

Does this year/model have the fuel pressure sensor? Is there something else I should be looking at?

Thanks!!

The fuel pressure sensor is at the back and has nothing to do with your problem.
Just to remind you, you have a fuse box under the hood and another fuse box under the dash, next to the parking brake.

I had the car towed back home. I checked every fuse except the two long fusible links. I couldn’t figure out how to remove them.

car is still doing the same thing. Ignition on, fan on, check VSC but will not crank when the auto start button is depressed. Key fob will lock/ unlock the doors. Auto start button turns green with ignition on and I press the brake pedal.

My scanner appears to be communicating with the abs system. VSC and ECM/ECU are not able to be connected to.

Stumped at this point.

Check the ST relay also, it can be the starter relay or the starter.

I will check that. I am concerned with the no communication between the ECM/ECU and scanner. Do you believe a starter relay would prevent that communication link from happening?

No, but l think your scanner is not compatible with the ABS system.
