My 2008 ES350 won't unlock when grabbing the driver door handle. It does from any other handle. The puddle and interior lights come on when I approach the vehicle and the button on the driver handle locks the doors. I have already checked the vehicle battery and remote battery. I also replace the left front door lock actuator but nothing has changed. I just recently got the car so I don't know the history. If I touch the remote to the handle it will unlock most of the time but almost never if I have the remote in my pocket. I am thinking of replacing the handle next. But things ae getting expensive. Any thoughts?

I have the exact same problem the door lock works fine just the sensor on only the driver door handle dose not recognize my touch but all other handles and buttons work. originally the button still worked for me so that leads me to believe there is a break somewhere in the wire going to switch or buildup of corrosion on connector, I'm going to take mine apart and measure resistance on wire and look for damage/ corrosion ill keep you updated
