Default Puddle lights

Lights under my mirrors no longer light up when walking up to door, can not find what is wrong
Now I realize lights come on when clicking unlock button, but not when walking up to door. Any ideas?

try taking your key out of your pocket when you walk up to doors and move it around the perimeter of the car. maybe you have a bad key sensor inside the car or low key battery. see if you can find a spot around the perimeter of the car that will turn on the lights.

Found my problem yesterday, I haven't used my unlock button on remote for a long time because car unlocks when I walk up to it. Clicked unlock button everything works. Went to O Reilly's auto parts bought ant installed LEDs. Thought issue was something simple. Thanks to guys that posted

So you just replaced the bulbs under the mirrors? What bulbs did you use and are they an improvement?

Sylvania super bright 194 LED. My first time removing mirror had to use flashlight and use patience to reinstall. Watch videos on youtube. Nice and bright I like it alot

I've been meaning to switch my puddle lights with a pair of LEDs though I'm having a hard time getting access to the bulbs - not to keen on prying out the sideview mirrors.

Could you please share the instructional video you watched.

Any tips from your experience?

Not sure what Video I watched just different ones. I have to say its kind of a tricky job fitting plastics and mirrors back in proper place, must take your time and be patient.

Got to keep it real, I tested LED puddle lights on my es against wifes stock puddle lights side by side only difference was LEDs were white and RX lights were yellow. Same amount of light from both vehicles. Can not recommend changing to LEDs.
