Same symptoms does not necessarily mean same root cause, always perform proper diagnosis first.

Sometimes the issue can be quite simple, like a loose heat shield or a motor mount which is wearing out.

Did you read the info on the other post? It took almost a month to diagnose! What's funny is that, you immediately suggested the possible cause! Practice what you preach, man!

I did, obviously the fix worked (to some extent) and massive amounts of kudos to you for really digging into it. I'm still puzzled like Wilson2000 as to what your fix did, I have no doubt the root cause is probably fairly complex, and I hope you get the chance to gather some more data over the next few days/weeks and report back to confirm that it was indeed what you had suspected!

My point was, probably not all issues are necessarily that complicated. I didn't want OP to read that thread and jump to applying the same fix even though it's the same engine, when the cause could be something completely different. OP needs to get back to us on the thread about this, we don't have enough information.

Personally I would put an original filter and Mobil 1 EP 5W30.

Did you check the oil level?
I had the same rattle noise. Switched my oil to mobile one 5W30 and oem filter. Rattle gone. Thank you Club Lexus.

What I hate about Toyota and Lexus is their ECU design. What would help everyone here is clear flood mode. If we could crank the engine without starting, that would lube the pin.
