Hello, I just bought a 2007 ES 350, this car is so sick so far, it needs a CV boot repair and also the tires are on the way out probably in less than 10,000 miles.
my question is in the manual it states that when the tires are replaced the tire pressure warning valves and transmitters need to be replaced also so that the pressure sensors can work correctly. How much will getting 4 tires replaced with the valves and transmitter cost? Does it need to be done by a Lexus dealer or can most tire/auto shops handle this.
thank you guys for your time, also if there’s anything else I should know about this car. It’s my first Lexus and has about 70k miles

Any tire shop can take care of replacing your TPMS sensors/transmitters if it is needed. They can scan each one to see if the battery is still good. Since the car is 15 years old, if it has the original TPMS sensors they should be replaced when you get new tires because they will certainly fail before the new tires wear out. This will result in extra costs to remove and reinstall each tire to get at the TPMS.
Tire prices vary all over the place, as do charges to replace the TPMS. I found that Costco had the best price to replace the 4 TPMS sensors on my Lexus HS250h. I paid $250 just to replace the TPMS. Tires will vary but you can shop online at Costco to see their prices. This applies to most other tire dealers chain shops.
It was so much cheaper, as are their tire prices, that it is worth joining Costco even if just to buy your new tires and TPMS sensors there. They have Michelin and Bridgestone and maybe more.

I JUST replaced my tpms sensors.
Cheapest way to do it:
buy sensors on eBay, I got 4 for $25 but you’ll need 5, one extra for full size spare tire.
Then you can get them done at Walmart, they charged me for a flat repair, which was $15 per tire. They might charge you more or less but that’s the general price I’d say. since you’re replacing tires they will have to take them off anyway and might not even charge you for install. Hope this helps and good luck. And yes they will program them too. And yea you can buy single tpms sensors on eBay also.

NO, unless you count black tape over the warning light.
